The Gracious Pantry on Clean Eating for Daily Life vs. for Athletes!
This is important, especially for those of you trying to lean out (abs, anyone?). When it comes down to an onstage fitness competition, you’re going to have to cut carbs (same goes for when it comes to losing those last few stubborn pounds). This differs from the runner’s or triathlete’s version of a clean diet coming into a race. The recipes on the Gracious Pantry are fantasic and clean, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you can eat like that and still reach your goal. I know that, for my body, I need to eat tons of plain leafy greens and super lean protiens (egg whites and tofu!) to lean out… and eliminate added sweetners, even if it’s honey or agave, and really cut down on my fruit. This may be different for you. Anyways, check it out!
